How McDonalds stormed the market during the pandemic?

McDonalds is already a well-known brand but Covid-19 hit them as well. McDonalds-South Korea came up with this amazing idea to introduce “BTS meal”, in collaboration with the famous Korean K-pop 7 member singing team “BTS”. Did it contain any unique food recipe? Absolutely nothing other than the print of BTS in the packaging. Yet BTS has a worldwide fanbase, well connected in all social media platforms. McDonalds had not to give an effort but those social media platforms and BTS fans did the marketing for them!
Even though the BTS meal was introduced in Korea, McDonalds had to expand it to other countries as well. That is how powerful “Social Media” is. If you know where to hit and how to hit, results will be exponential compared to the effort!
